Disney After Hours Hollywood Studios: Review, Dates, Tickets, Characters, Rides & More

Hollywood Studios is my favorite Walt Disney World park. There's something about the park that I love so much. Maybe it's the Star Wars focus or the old-time Hollywood feel of it all. I can't help but to feel a pure sense of joy as I stroll through this park. I can visit a thousand times and never feel like it's too much, especially after the Toy Story Land addition!

So, when Disney invited me to attend their special ticketed Disney After Hours Hollywood Studios event, I immediately said yes. I knew that I'd make my schedule work around this event because it's absolutely worth it. After attending the Disney After Hours Magic Kingdom event, I made the bold statement that After Hours is my favorite special-ticketed event. I still stand by this statement.

What is Disney After Hours at Hollywood Studios?

Disney After Hours is an event that officially begins when the park closes. Basically, you're experiencing the park after the typical Hollywood Studios hours, hence the event name. This is the perfect opportunity for guests to ride the rides, meet characters, and enjoy the park without crowds or wait times.

A huge bonus to this event is that you get free, unlimited bottled drinks, popcorn, and full-size ice cream treats! I personally think it's the only way to visit the park if your goal is to ride your favorite rides!

Which rides are open?

As you could imagine, Hollywood Studios doesn't keep every ride open for the event. I personally don't find this to be an issue because the very best rides are available to ride over and over again. These are the rides you can enjoy:*:

Which characters are available for photo opps?

Being that I have an infant, my main goal when visiting the parks is to take as many photos as humanly possible – like at the Toy Story Land Instagram Photo Walls.

Character photos are a big deal to me and more than ever before! I was really excited to find so many characters available for photos without wait times.

I literally walked right to each character without waiting, just like we experienced with the Disney Princesses at Magic Kingdom.

It was nice to spend a few minutes enjoying the company of the characters and especially, watching my sweet boy interact with them.
