Sometimes my energy is so low that I don't want to make myself a cup of coffee. I'm sure you've felt the same way. Or maybe, you live in Florida and the thought of a steaming hot cup of coffee isn't too appealing in the 95 degrees weather. I absolutely get it – trust me! That's why my life is a constant hunt for a new way to energize myself. I've bought espresso candy, chocolate covered coffee beans, and even energy drinks. I finally decided it was time to take it a step further and make my own little energy treats.
I was drinking a nice big cup of Community Coffee the other day and I was really enjoying the smooth flavor. My mind started to wander, as it usually does, and I started thinking of how much I love a good cup of coffee. I love the taste of coffee. I have since I took my very first sip many years ago. I eat coffee candies, coffee-flavored ice cream, and even have a coffee flavored lip balm. As I strolled through the memories of drinking coffee in rocking chairs with grandma to the important conversations I've had over steaming cups of joe, I started to brainstorm my own coffee recipe ideas. I tested a few out and ended up with this one.
