What I love about Nutrisystem is that they give the confidence and knowledge to succeed well beyond the system. I am starting week 6 of my Nutrisystem weight loss journey and I am so proud of my journey. These past two weeks have been crazy. My mother has been here for 3 weeks, visiting. On week 3 I was on vacation and week 4 I was sick. As you could imagine, being sick and being on vacation can definitely hinder a diet.

Since I was staying at a hotel, I couldn't eat Nutrisystem for all of my meals. Honestly, I didn't want to. I was on vacation. I cheated a few times on my diet, but this is where the Nutrisystem knowledge comes in. I've learned what I can and can't eat. I can scan a menu at just about any establishment and pick something that is healthy or something that is okay to eat. I've learned to control my portions, which helps tremendously! I full heartedly expected to return from my vacation and weigh the same as I did when I started this diet. I was afraid to step on the scale. To my surprise, I didn't gain any weight. I didn't lose any either. I maintained the weight that I left with. A lot of this has to do with the way I order my food. Yes, I may eat something that isn't on the Nutrisystem menu, but that doesn't mean that it's horrible for me.

When I order meals at a restaurant, I think of ways that I can make it healthier. These are a few examples of how I order:

  1. I always order water to drink.
  2. I order grilled rather than fried food
  3. Oil & Vinegar on my salad, rather than delicious ( & calorie packed!) ranch dressing
  4. I always ask for NO CHEESE. Cheese has a ton of calories!! It's unbelievable.
  5. Always order non-starchy veggies on the side (or a side salad).

I still eat what I like. I just make it a little healthier. It's a lot easier to do than I thought it would be. I feel extremely guilty when I cheat on my diet. I think that's a good thing. Nutrisystem did send me new foods for the month, so I was able to try some new yummy things, like the grilled chicken sandwich. Man! It's so good! It's my new favorite lunch. The carrot cake whoopie pie that they sent me is my new favorite dessert. yum!

Okay, so for my weight loss results!  BUM BUM BUUUMMM….
