Last week I had the pleasure of attending the very first stop on the Cars 3 Road to the Races Tour in Orlando, FL. I couldn’t help but to be giddy about it being in Disney Springs since that’s like my favorite place to be. I know Disney Springs better than I know my own neighborhood. It’s ridiculous how often I visit just to enjoy a nice meal.
I briefly mentioned the Cars 3 tour last week, but this time I get to tell you exactly what you can expect. First of all, this is a nationwide tour and will probably be stopping in a city near you, so be sure to check the website so you can plan a visit with the kids. I’d recommend setting aside an hour for this event. It isn’t something that you’ll be spending all day at, so maybe you can plan a lunch out with the family and an hour of activity. This is an outdoor event, so dress accordingly.
1. Photo Opps with Cars 3 “Stars”
Be sure to bring your favorite racing shirts, as you’ll be taking photos at a few different activity booths and with the Cars 3 stars: Lightening McQueen, Cruz Ramirez, and Jackson Storm! You definitely want to impress them!
2. See Cars 3 Exclusive Footage
You will have an opportunity to relax in the super comfy, air-conditioned Cinetransformer Mobile Movie Theater while watching exclusive footage from Cars 3. The footage will include a couple of scenes from the film and a talk with some of the Cars 3 creators! In my opinion, that made the entire event worth it!
Some of the little activity booths give you freebies. You get to spin a wheel to win a prize from Crest and Oral-B. We won Cars 3 tattoos and a tube of toothpaste. There was also an opportunity from Alamo Rent A Car to help color a giant Cars 3 mural, where you’ll receive a pack of coloring pencils after.
You’ll get to sample a special Dole smoothie and will be given a free recipe card. Coppertone was also giving out coupons and samples for their sunscreen!
4. Activities for Kids
The entire event is for the kids and there are some really cute activities for them to enjoy together. They can race to change a tire, help color the Cars 3 mural, build paper race cars, and race toy cars! This is geared more towards younger children, so your teenagers might not enjoy it as much.
