My favorite season is here. My only wish is that the Florida actually knew it was Autumn. Some cool weather and colorful leaves would be nice. We don’t have actual season here in Florida, but as soon as September hits I begin to celebrate Autumn within my home. I mean, it’s crazy how a few changes in your home can change the way you feel. Basically, we don’t know it’s fall until the I change a few things in my home. I figured that I can’t be the only one, so I’m sharing my ideas with you. Enjoy!

My idea of a perfect reading nook revolves around comfort. I wanted big pillows, soft blankets, and of course, really good books. I don’t exactly have a location in my home that’s free. So I decided to build my reading nook in a corner of a bed and a wall in our guest room. It’s in a location that doesn’t have much traffic, but can be removed quickly when we need the space.

I had the honor of attending the DreamWorks Voltron press event a few weeks ago and the event was incredible. I think that kids all over are going to go crazy about this show. One of the most fun things about Voltron Legendary Defender is getting to know each of the characters. Who do you relate to? Which color would you be? What personality traits do you have? I’ve created an old school cootie catcher that you can introduce to your children. Let’s drop the technology for a little bit and have some fun with the easiest form of origami.

I made a sign for my guests to log into my WiFi with a simple scan of the customized QR Code. Since I’m a huge Disney lover I had to incorporate Disney into the room somehow. My all-time favorite Disney movie is Beauty and the Beast, so I thought “Be Our Guest” would be perfect for the guest room and an awesome way to celebrate the live-action rendition of the movie coming in 2017.

I think that the most difficult part of a new journey is that we beat ourselves up and we push ourselves more than we reward ourselves. Rewards are encouraging and we all deserve them once in awhile. Let me set the scene. It’s date night. Every week or month you have a specific night dedicated to keeping the romance alive with your partner/spouse. Most of you would look at me funny if I said that you should go on a weekly date with your significant other. You would say that you can’t afford it. You would say that you don’t have time. You have to pay for dinner and the activity. You have to pay for gas and a babysitter. That’s if you can find one. The expenses rack up and sometimes, while important, the idea of a date night just seems out farfetched. There are ways to have cute lazy dates in your home without spending a ton of money. Now does that sound like something that’s within your reach?

Tracking PixelThere’s definitely a stigma of desk jobs being incredibly boring. This isn’t always true. It really depends on the work you do. I worked at a hotel for many years and most of my hours were spent sitting at the front desk waiting… and waiting… and waiting. My job was to wait for someone to arrive or wait for someone to call. Since we had to remain at the desk at all times, my options were limited with what I could do to fight the boredom. I had to think of unique and creative ways that weren’t against the rules. Now, I am working at a desk again. I love my job, but it still gets really boring sometimes.

The big game is coming and I think it’s important that we prepare now. If you have a huge party for the game, you know the importance of snacks and decorations. You want your party to be epic. You want it to be one to remember! A snack stadium is a new idea for me, but I wanted to make something unique and different from the average game party display. This snack stadium will be really unique because it’s going to include sweet and salty snacks.
