I’m Going to the red carpet The Jungle Book Premiere & More! #JungleBookEvent

This is an all expenses paid trip sponsored by Disney in exchange for my event coverage. This post and all #JungleBookEvent posts will be sponsored by Disney

I am so excited to tell everyone about my upcoming trip to LA! First of all, I want to thank all of you for your support and dedication to Women and Their Pretties. It’s because of all of you that I am able to cover incredible events like this one. I am going to Los Angeles, California from April 3rd to April 5th to walk the red carpet at the big premiere of The Jungle Book and guess what? You’re all coming with me. Just follow the hashtag #JungleBookEvent because I will be posting, tweeting, live streaming, and sharing as much as I possibly can. I want all of you to feel like you are a part of this too! I don’t have my exact itinerary just yet, but I can tell you what I do know.

You can expect a live broadcast on Periscope (@JoyceDuboise) while I am mingling on the red carpet for The Jungle Book premiere– yes, I said LIVE. You never know know who we might see. I am personally hoping to run into Bill Murray, Christopher Walken, or Scarlett Johansson – all stars of The Jungle Book. I just hope that whomever I see, you get to see them with me. I will be wearing my beautiful red carpet dress (check out the sneak peek below) and will be completely glammed up. You can expect a ton of photos on and off of the red carpet.

Follow me on Periscope, so you can keep up with my sightings and communicate with me live!

Along with the premiere of The Jungle Book, we will be interviewing Neel Sethi, the actor who plays Mowgli and Jon Favreau, the Director of The Jungle Book (and a legend in my book). I will be live tweeting (@JoyceDuboise) during the interviews to give all of you the inside scoop! You can expect direct quotes, fun facts, and so much more on Twitter.

I am sure that we will be adding much more to our schedule and when we do, I will be sure to update you right here. Until then, you can clear your schedule for the entire family to see The Jungle Book opening weekend! Watch this trailer and be sure to share the love with everyone. This is going to be a must-see in theaters and I suspect that there will be a lot of nostalgia coming from this movie. I will be binge watching the original The Jungle Book and watching all of Jon Favreau’s movies to prepare.

3/19 UPDATED SCHEDULE – Walk The Prank

Our schedule was just updated and I am so excited! On April 5th, before returning home (boo), we will be watching a special screening for the hilarious new hidden camera-practical joker series, “Walk The Prank”. Featuring live-action scripted comedy interspersed with fully produced unscripted pranks, the show follows an ensemble cast as they plan and execute hilarious over-the-top pranks for an online hidden camera show. After the screening, we will be going to Paramount Studios where we will view products for an upcoming episode and we will be interviewing cast members of the show! How exciting is that? I told my Godson and he was so excited! He wanted me to ask them if they liked turtles (don't ask). haha. I think it's safe to say that we are all looking forward to this one! Follow me on this journey by using the hashtag, #‎WalkthePrank‬

“Walk the Prank” premieres 4/6 at 8:30 pm on Disney XD

3/23 UPDATED SCHEDULE – New Interviews

I am so incredibly excited. Three, yes THREE, more interviews were secured for our The Jungle Book press junket! We will be interviewing some of the most talented and profound actors in the industry today. I am honored to say that that Lupita Nyong'o (voice of “Raksha”), Sir Ben Kingsley (voice of “Bagheera”) and Giancarlo Esposito (voice of “Akela”) have just been added to the itinerary! There are just no words to express how thankful and ecstatic I am!

Check out each actors quotes about their character and their roles in The Jungle Book.

Giancarlo Esposito (voice of "Akela")

Akela is the strong and hardened alpha-male wolf who shoulders the responsibility of his pack. He welcomes Mowgli to the family, but worries he may one day compromise their safety. “Akela is a fierce patriarch of the wolf pack,” says Giancarlo Esposito, who voices the character. “He believes the strength of the pack lies in what each and every wolf offers. He's a great leader, a wise teacher.”

Sir Ben Kingsley (voice of "Bagheera")

Bagheera is a sleek panther who feels it's his duty to help the man-cub depart with dignity when it's time for him to leave his jungle home. “Bagheera is Mowgli’s adoptive parent,” says Ben Kingsley, who lends his voice to Bagheera. “His role in Mowgli’s life is to educate, to protect and to guide. My Bagheera was military–he’s probably a colonel. He is instantly recognizable by the way he talks, how he acts and what his ethical code is.”

Lupita Nyong'o (voice of "Raksha")

Lupita Nyong'o voices Raksha, a mother wolf who cares deeply for all of her pups–including man-cub Mowgli, whom she adopts as one of her own when he's abandoned in the jungle as an infant. “She is the protector, the eternal mother,” says Nyong'o. “The word Raksha actually means protection in Hindi. I felt really connected to that, wanting to protect a son that isn’t originally hers but one she’s taken for her own.”

Be sure to follow me on Twitter because I will be tweeting about these interviews LIVE! @JoyceDuboise

3/28 UPDATED SCHEDULE – The Premiere party

Our tentative itinerary was sent to us today and we will be attending the official The Jungle Book premiere party at the OHM Nightclub on Hollywood Boulevard! That means we will most likely be mingling with some incredible celebrities and talent. What am I going to do with myself? This is going to be so surreal. I can't believe it! I hope I manage to keep myself calm and collected. I will definitely be taking photos and hopefully streaming live! Be sure to keep coming back for more!

In Theaters April 15, 2016

Directed by Jon Favreau (“Iron Man”), based on Rudyard Kipling’s timeless stories and inspired by Disney’s classic animated film, “The Jungle Book” is an all-new live-action epic adventure about Mowgli (newcomer Neel Sethi), a man-cub who’s been raised by a family of wolves. But Mowgli finds he is no longer welcome in the jungle when fearsome tiger Shere Khan (voice of Idris Elba), who bears the scars of Man, promises to eliminate what he sees as a threat. Urged to abandon the only home he’s ever known, Mowgli embarks on a captivating journey of self-discovery, guided by panther-turned-stern mentor Bagheera (voice of Ben Kingsley), and the free-spirited bear Baloo (voice of Bill Murray). Along the way, Mowgli encounters jungle creatures who don’t exactly have his best interests at heart, including Kaa (voice of Scarlett Johansson), a python whose seductive voice and gaze hypnotizes the man-cub, and the smooth-talking King Louie (voice of Christopher Walken), who tries to coerce Mowgli into giving up the secret to the elusive and deadly red flower: fire. The all-star cast also includes Lupita Nyong'o as the voice of the fiercely protective mother wolf Raksha, and Giancarlo Esposito as the voice of wolf pack’s alpha male Akela. “The Jungle Book” seamlessly blends live-action with photorealistic CGI animals and environments, using up-to-the-minute technology and storytelling techniques to immerse audiences in an enchanting and lush world.
