I attended an advance screening of Bridget Jones’s Baby and I took my boyfriend! I know, it sounds silly because Bridget Jones’s Baby is totally a chick flick – or is it? Eh, not so much. It has the every fragment it needs to be a really great date night movie. Still think your guy wouldn’t like it? Well mine said these exact words: “Every chick flick should be as funny as this one.” Those are the words of a brand new Bridget Jones fan! Take your guy on a date to see this movie. I promise he wont be disappointed.
I’ve never been much of a dancer. I’ve been to many clubs and danced my butt off until the wee hours in the morning, but I’d never consider myself a dancer. I can appreciate a movie with great dancers. In fact, this list of movies is inspired by my love for dance movies. I don’t know what it is, but I really get into dance movies. Every time I watch one, I want to get up and start moving. I’m sure you’ve seen all (or most) of these dance movies, but it never hurts to be reminded of how great they are. Last year, my boyfriend and I surprised my mother with a surprise comedy show. We took her to see Kevin Hart on his What Now tour. She had no idea what was going on until we arrived at the venue. It was probably one of the most exciting days of her life. You see, we are all huge Kevin Hart fans. He quickly became a comedian that I loved to being my very favorite comedian. His comedy somehow surpassed my love for Dane Cook’s comedy. Kevin Hart was the first comedian to get his stand up on the big screen (with his Let Me Explain tour) and it’s obvious as to why. There’s something so hilarious about him. His size, his facial expressions – everything abut him is just too funny.

We all know the story of Snow White. It’s a tale as old as time (Ignore my Beauty and The Beast reference – I’m obsessed). What we haven’t heard (until now) is the story before Snow White. Aren’t you a little curious about what happened before the story that we all know and love? I’m curious about the before and after of every movie that I love. The Huntsman Winter’s War is a movie that you want to own. Not only is it an action-packed thriller with a stellar cast, the story is really interesting.
I am all about scary movies. The thing is that most movies these days just aren’t horrifying enough to really give me the creeps. There are some movies that have genuinely terrified me, like The Strangers and The Fourth Kind. For the most part, movies nowadays days are remakes or just too fake for me to take it seriously. I like movies about things that could really happen. Basically, I’m not into the whole aliens and monsters thing, but there are some movies that I will make an exception for. I must say, 2016 has been quite impressive on the movie front. There are some movies coming this year (and next) that are going to chill me to my very core. If watching the trailers gives you goosebumps, just imagine how scary the movies are going to be.
